Kathleen Hagerty is the First Chicago Professor of Finance at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. She served as Provost of Northwestern University from Sept. 1, 2020-June 30, 2026, the first woman to hold the role in the University's history. Earlier in her career, she held several senior academic leadership positions at Kellogg, including Senior Associate Dean for Faculty and Research, Chair of the Finance Department, and Interim Dean.

Over a career spanning more than three decades at Northwestern, she has been a tireless advocate for the University's academic mission and a leader in advancing faculty excellence and research. She has played a key role in helping Northwestern navigate periods of significant change and challenge, demonstrating exceptional skill in leading through complex circumstances while strengthening the University's academic programs and global standing.
